Inaugural Maui Aviation Day

Mokulele Airlines was proud to participate in the inaugural Maui Aviation Day at Kahului Airport, joining thousands of residents and visitors in celebrating aviation, education, and the people who keep Hawaiʻi connected. The incredible turnout reflected the community’s enthusiasm for aviation, as families and aviation enthusiasts gathered for a rare behind-the-scenes look at airport operations and the many careers that make air travel possible.

Visitors had the unique opportunity to experience both the present and future of regional aviation. Guests explored our dependable Cessna Grand Caravan, the workhorse that connects communities across the Hawaiian Islands every day, alongside the groundbreaking BETA ALIA all-electric aircraft, offering a glimpse into the future of sustainable regional flight. Together, the aircraft showcased Mokulele’s commitment to delivering reliable service today while helping shape the next generation of aviation.

Throughout the day, our team welcomed guests aboard both aircraft, answered questions about inter-island flying and emerging aviation technology, and shared how regional aviation plays a vital role in connecting Hawaiʻi’s communities. One of the highlights was seeing so many keiki experience an aircraft up close for the first time, meeting pilots, exploring the flight deck, and discovering the possibilities of a future in aviation. Inspiring the next generation of aviators, engineers, mechanics, and aviation professionals is something we’re honored to be a part of.

Mahalo to the Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation, Airports Division – Maui District, along with the many sponsors, volunteers, first responders, military partners, and community organizations whose collaboration made this remarkable event possible. Mokulele is honored to support initiatives that educate, inspire, and strengthen our island communities, and we look forward to continuing our mission of keeping Hawaiʻi connected, one flight at a time.
