HONOLULU — Mokulele Airlines today introduced three brand new Cessna 208 Caravan aircraft joining its active inter-island fleet, marking one of the most significant expansions in the airline’s recent history. To honor the occasion and the communities at the heart of the Mokulele network, airline staff hosted blessing ceremonies at four island stations — Honolulu, Lāna’i, Moloka’i, and Maui — over the course of August 13 and 14, 2026.

“Renewing our fleet and stations reflects our commitment to listening and meeting the evolving needs of the communities we serve,” said Gary McKoy, Vice President of Airports and Stations for Mokulele Airlines. “These improvements are an important step in strengthening our service across Hawaiʻi and responding to the feedback we receive. Through these blessing ceremonies, we reaffirm our commitment to serving Hawaiʻi and recognize the trust local residents place in us every time they fly.”

The three new aircraft, just off the Cessna manufacturing line, will be integrated into Mokulele’s existing inter-island schedule, expanding capacity and strengthening service reliability across the network. Each aircraft received its blessing at its home station during a window between scheduled arrivals and departures, with Mokulele staff and community members in attendance.

In Honolulu, Mokulele also debuted its newly-renovated Terminal 3 facility at the Honolulu Daniel K. Inouye International Airport. The renovation reflects the airline’s ongoing investment in the passenger experience and its commitment to the communities it serves on the ground as well as in the air.
